All-Purpose Dish Washing Soap

This All-Purpose Dish Washing Soap is capable of handling your kitchens toughest, greasiest cleaning jobs utilizing the Kirk’s Original Castile Bar Soaps … naturally and affordably.

ingredients

1-4 oz Kirk’s ORIGINAL COCO CASTILE SOAP or FRAGRANCE FREE BAR SOAP
1 Tablespoons of Washing Soda
1 Cup White Vinegar
1 Gallon Water

directions

  1. Grate the bar of Kirk’s Original Coco Castile Soap or Fragrance Free Bar Soap.
  2. Add 1/2-gallon water and soap flakes to a large pot on the stove top.
  3. Stir over medium heat until the soap completely dissolves.
  4. Do not allow liquid to boil.
  5. Add Washing Soda and stir until dissolved (approximately 1 minute).
  6. Combine all remaining ingredients and warm concentrated dishwashing liquid into a large storage container using a funnel.
  7. Cap container and shake gently to mix.
  8. Allow dish soap to cure for about a day before using. If your soap turns into a gelatinous goo after curing, try mixing with a stick blender until a creamy consistency is achieved.
  9. Shake gently before each use.
  10. If soap is leaving residue on dishes, try adding more vinegar to the formula or using less soap when washing dishes.

Lice Remedy

Let’s be honest – lice are the worst! Follow these simple steps to naturally remove these persistent pests.

ingredients

Kirk’s Original Fresh Scent Bar Soap or Fragrance Free Bar Soap

directions

  1. Start by shampooing hair with Kirk’s Original Coco Castile bar soap in comfortable hot water.
  2. Rinse & shampoo hair again.
  3. Tie towel around lathered hair and leave it on for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Remove Towel. Hair will be moist with soap.
  5. Do not rinse soap out. If hair dries during the combing process wet it again with water.
  6. Remove nits (lice eggs) with lice comb and fingernails.
  7. Rinse hair with comfortable hot water.
  8. Shampoo and condition hair again.
  9. Continue to follow this routine and remove nits every 2-3 days for 3 weeks.
  10. Shampooing kills head lice but does not remove the nits; combing is needed to effectively remove the eggs.

  1. Wet your dirty brush.
  2. Using wet brush, swirl the brush onto the bar and then into the small bowl to combine.
  3. Rinse & Repeat swirling action until no makeup residue remains.
  4. Rinse thoroughly and make sure that the brush is facing down to avoid water damage on the head of the brush.
  5. Shake out and gently squeeze out excess water.
  6. Reshape the brush head.
  7. Repeat for all brushes.
  8. Lay them out to dry on a clean towel.
